K-5 Physical Education Teacher

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Education Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will foster a love for physical activity and promote the importance of health and fitness among students. Duties

• Develop and implement comprehensive physical education curricula that align with state standards.
• Teach students the fundamentals of various sports, fitness activities, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
• Organize and supervise physical education classes, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
• Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play among students during activities.
• Collaborate with other educators to integrate health and wellness into the overall school curriculum.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student development and participation in physical education.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field from an accredited university is required.
• Valid teaching certification or licensure in Physical Education is preferred.
• Strong understanding of physical fitness principles, sports rules, and health education.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students of varying ages and abilities.
• Ability to create an inclusive environment that encourages participation from all students.
• Previous teaching experience in a school setting is a plus but not mandatory.
