Position Details
POSITION: K - 5TH GRADE INSTRUCTIONAL COACH (At-Risk)
DESCRIPTION: Instructional coach providing Professional Learning, individual and team coaching to strengthen instruction and student learning
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
- Master's in Curriculum and Instruction or a Master's in Reading
- Knowledge of Essential Instructional Practices in Literacy K-3 and 4-5
- LETRS
- Successful teaching at the elementary level
- Knowledge of research and evidence-based instructional practices
- Familiarity with the MTSS framework and implementing Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 instruction
- Ability to facilitate professional development and team meetings
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:
- Ability to assume a leadership role
- Willingness to participate in job-related training
- Experience with NWEA and M-STEP
- Ability to administer, analyze, and interpret universal and diagnostic student screenings
- Willingness to support the development and implementation of Individualized Reading Plans (IRIPS)
- Ability to build positive, collaborative relationships
