Duties

  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students.
  • Provide direct instruction tailored to students with varying disabilities and learning needs.
  • Adapt curriculum, assignments, and teaching strategies to support student success.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to promote inclusive practices.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
  • Conduct assessments and use data to guide instruction and interventions.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and needs.
  • Support positive behavior interventions and classroom management strategies.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Valid State Teaching License with Special Education endorsement (LBS1)
  • Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and special education compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities
