Position: Daily Substitute Teacher

Location: Partnership Schools – Cleveland, OH

Type: Per Diem / As Needed

Compensation: $200 per full day

Partnership Schools is accepting applications for Daily Substitute Teachers to support our Cleveland schools. Substitute teachers help ensure that students continue learning in a safe, positive, structured, and mission-aligned environment when their regular teacher is absent. Assignments are offered based on school needs and substitute availability; a guaranteed number of workdays is not provided.

Our schools serve students through a commitment to academic excellence and the formation of the whole child—mind, body, and spirit. Successful substitutes are dependable, flexible, respectful of Catholic culture and values, and ready to follow established classroom plans and school procedures.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Implementing lesson plans and instructional activities provided by the classroom teacher or school leadership

• Maintaining a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning

• Supervising students throughout the school day, including during arrival, dismissal, transitions, lunch, recess, and other assigned activities

• Following school schedules, procedures, safety expectations, and student support plans

• Managing student behavior consistently and respectfully in accordance with school expectations

• Collaborating with teachers, school leaders, and staff to ensure a smooth and productive school day

• Providing the classroom teacher or school leader with a brief summary of completed work, student progress, and any concerns

• Protecting student confidentiality and communicating professionally with students, families, and colleagues

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Successful completion of all required background checks and clearances before beginning work

• Ability to follow written lesson plans, school procedures, and staff directions

• Ability to perform the essential duties of the position and supervise students safely throughout the school day

Compensation and Scheduling:

$200 per full day. Daily substitute assignments are offered on an as-needed basis across Partnership Schools’ Cleveland campuses and are scheduled according to school needs and substitute availability. This position does not guarantee a minimum number of assignments or workdays.
