K-8 Wilson Certified Special Education Teacher

Administers and scores diagnostic and screening assessments to identify students in need of intervention Uses assessment data to select and prioritize students for intervention services, reviewing placement decisions regularly and adjusting groupings as data warrants Creates well-planned, organized intervention lessons with clearly stated objectives connected to learning standards Delivers individual and/or small group instruction grounded in student data and aligned with research-based, structured intervention practices, beginning with reading and expanding to math as needs arise Delivers intervention with district-approved programs with fidelity to program design, adjusting based on student response and progress Aligns intervention with the classroom ELA program where possible Uses technology to monitor, track, and document student progress Maintains data-based documentation of continuous progress monitoring, using valid measures on a regular schedule to evaluate intervention effectiveness and inform instructional decisions Coordinates intervention scheduling across grades in collaboration with classroom teachers Confers regularly with classroom teachers to align intervention with core instruction and support students across settings Participates in collaborative meetings, data meetings, and Student Support Teams (STATs) as needed Keeps families informed of their child''s intervention services, goals, and progress, providing clear and accessible updates that account for the language needs of the school community Maintains the confidentiality of student records Performs related duties as assigned by the Principal or their designee

Compensation will be in accordance with the salary scale outlined in the Acushnet Teachers Association collective bargaining agreement.
