About the Role:
INFOZEN INC is looking for a skilled Kafka Administrator with hands-on Confluent Kafka expertise to join our growing team in Atlanta, GA. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in managing and optimizing enterprise-level data streaming infrastructure. Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Confluent Kafka clusters in production and non-production environments
• Monitor Kafka broker performance, consumer lag, and throughput to ensure system reliability and availability
• Manage Kafka topics, partitions, replication factors, and retention policies
• Troubleshoot and resolve Kafka-related issues including connectivity, data loss, and latency problems
• Implement security configurations including SSL/TLS, SASL, and role-based access control (RBAC)
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support Kafka-based streaming applications and integrations
• Perform capacity planning, upgrades, and patching of Confluent Kafka components including Schema Registry, Kafka Connect, and ksqlDB

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Kafka Administrator with deep knowledge of Confluent Kafka platform
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, messaging architectures, and event-driven design
• Experience with Kafka Connect, Schema Registry, and Kafka Streams
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Confluent Control Center
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerized environments (Kubernetes/Docker) is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
