Karate After School Educator - Oakland Or/And Moraga, CA.

This role focuses on supervising and engaging students during after-school enrichment programming. It’s ideal for educators who enjoy a dynamic environment and are passionate about creating safe, engaging, and supportive learning experiences.

We're Actively Seeking Instructors with Karate or Jiu Jitsu teaching Experience.

Location: Moraga

Karate• Grades: TK-2nd • Schedule: Wed 2:15-3:15pm (9/2 - 10/14) 

Jiu Jitsu • Grades: TK-2nd • Schedule: Wed 2:15-3:15pm (10/28 - 12/16) 

Location: Oakland

Karate• Schedule: Tuesdays 3.30-4.30pm and Thursdays 3.15.4.15pm (9/3 - 3/4)

In this role, you will:

• Supervise students from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade
• Ensure student safety and well-being at all times
• Plan and lead engaging recreational activities
• Assist students with homework and academic support as needed
• Facilitate positive social interactions and encourage teamwork
• Effectively manage student behavior using positive reinforcement
• Maintain accurate attendance and incident records
• Organize and oversee snack time and outdoor play
• Prepare and organize activity materials, keeping spaces clean and safe

Requirements

• 18+ years of age
• Ability and willingness to complete 3 hours of online training prior to the start date. (Concussion Training, Mandated Reporter, First Aid & CPR)
• Ability to assist to onsite paid trainings the week before the program starts.
• Authorization to work in the US
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
