KCRA 3, the Hearst Television NBC-affiliate inSacramento, CA, is seeking an Account Executive who isresponsible for selling multiplatform advertising solutions, with an emphasis on New Business Development, to local businesses and agencies. Our ideal candidate is goal-oriented, has strong interpersonal and presentation skills, and is a strong team player. In person attendance is required. You will report to the Local Sales Manager.ResponsibilitiesAchieve established revenue expectations across multiple platformsProactively drive new business by prospecting and researching new accountsIdentify and cultivate local relationships to influence advertising purchasing decisionsDevelop strategies for sales presentations for new and existing clients, using the powerhouse combination of television and digital platformsPrepare and implement individual account strategies to grow current revenue from existing clientsUtilize research to support marketing solutions and customer goalsKeep current with industry trends and client business newsKeep sales management apprised of progress towards established revenue goalsQualificationsSales and/or marketing experience in media (television and/or digital) is preferredProven track record with new business developmentAccountability within a goal-structured organizationPossess strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Proficiency with Wide Orbit, Kantar and One Domain/WO Media Office a plus.Military training and experience will be considered in lieu of Media sales experienceCollege degree in marketing, business or broadcast related field is preferred but not required.Salary RangeThis position is paid based on commissions, which range from $70,000 and $100,000, depending on performance and other criteria set forth by management.Diversity StatementAt Hearst Television we tell stories every day.
