At Ingleside Animal Hospital, you will work in a modern, spacious, AAHA-accredited hospital that takes pride in practicing high-quality medicine and supporting the people who deliver it. You will have access to well-maintained equipment including digital radiography, ultrasound, flexible and rigid endoscopy, therapeutic laser, and a fully equipped in-house lab. Medical records are completely paperless through Impromed Infinity, helping keep communication clear and efficient. The hospital follows Fear Free and Feline Friendly principles and consistently exceeds AAHAstandards to support patient care and client trust. You will join a collaborative team where communication and teamwork are part of daily operations. Doctors regularly consult with one another on cases, and the entire hospital team works together to provide consistent, thoughtful care. New team members are supported with mentorship and structured training that allows you to grow at a steady, supported pace. Clinical standards are clearly defined and followed across the hospital, including required surgical bloodwork, IV catheterization and fluids, full dental radiographs, consistent pain management, and radiographs reviewed by a board-certified radiologist. You will benefit from a schedule designed to support work-life balance, along with leadership that values input from the team. Regular doctor, staff, and management meetings help ensure concerns are addressed and improvements are made thoughtfully. You will work alongside a fully staffed team of certified technicians, skilled assistants, customer service representatives, and kennel staff, allowing everyone to focus on doing their job well. Your Impact as a Kennel Assistant

• Provide Personalized Care: You'll be the primary caregiver for our boarding and daycare pets, ensuring they receive the correct food, exercise, and attention to make their stay comfortable and safe.
• Be the Eyes and Ears of Animal Health: You'll carefully monitor the behavior and habits of the animals in your care, promptly notifying the medical team of any unusual health concerns.
• Create a Safe and Healthy Environment: You'll take pride in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the entire resort, from the kennel areas and runs to the outside grounds.
• Ensure Operational Excellence: You'll keep the resort running smoothly by managing inventory for food and cleaning supplies and collaborating with the team to ensure all tasks are completed.

What You'll Bring to the Team

• A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare.
• A reliable and hardworking nature, with the ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, good judgment, and the ability to handle stressful situations with composure.
• The physical capacity to lift up to 50+ lbs and perform the duties of a physically active role.
• Previous experience as a kennel assistant is preferred. A flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays, is required.
• The pay range for this position is $15-$16 per hour based on experience.
