Job DescriptionPosition Kennel AssistantPay 16.00 per hourSchedule AM and PM shifts requiredStatus Full-time 30 hoursweek eligible for benefitsEnvironment Fast-paced animal care setting We are seeking a reliable hardworking Kennel Assistant to join our animal care team. This role is essential to maintaining a clean safe and comfortable environment for our patients while providing routine care services. Key Responsibilities Clean and maintain kennels runs cages and treatment areas Feed water and care for hospitalized and boarding patients Walk dogs and provide basic enrichment as appropriate Bathe animals as needed Perform nail trims ear cleanings and anal gland expressions proficiently Safely handle and restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments Monitor patients for changes in behavior appetite or comfort and report concerns Assist with laundry dishes and general cleaning duties Support exam room and treatment teams as needed Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization Qualifications Proficiency in nail trims ear cleanings anal gland expressions and bathing animals Comfortable working with animals of all sizes and temperaments Ability to work in a fast-paced physically demanding environment Must be on your feet most of the shift Ability to lift and assist animals as needed Strong work ethic and attention to detail Reliable punctual and team-oriented Willingness to learn and follow safety protocols Benefits Full-Time 30 Hours Medical dental and vision insurance Paid time off Staff pet discounts on care lab work and food Yearly 75 uniform allowance Employee discounts Opportunities for training and professional growth If you enjoy hands-on animal care take pride in maintaining a clean and safe environment and work well as part of a team wed love to hear from you.
