This role is essential to the health, comfort, and happiness of our boarding pets—and to the overall success of our veterinary team.
Part time position at Petal Animal Clinic. Part time position at Animal Medical Center.
About the Role
As a Kennel Technician, you will play a vital part in our patients’ daily care and well-being. Responsibilities include:
- Providing daily boarding care (feeding, walking, cleaning, monitoring)
- Maintaining clean, sanitary, and safe kennel areas
- Bathing and performing basic grooming services (nail trims, ear cleanings, anal gland expression)
Assisting veterinary staff with safe pet handling and comfort support - Monitoring pets for changes in behavior or health and promptly reporting concerns
Treating every pet as if they were your own
This is an active, fast-paced position that requires physical stamina, strong attention to detail, and a genuine love for animals.

- You dislike cleaning (sanitation is a major part of this role)
- You struggle with being on your feet most of the day
- You are unable to lift and handle pets and equipment safely

Schedule Requirements
- Part-Time (30 hours or less per week)
- Shifts between 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. for Petal Animal Clinic
- Shifts between 6:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. for Animal Medical Center
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
Important Scheduling Requirement
This position is not intended to be a “summer-only” role. Applicants must be available to continue working not only during the summer, but also throughout the fall/winter season (including holidays). Dependability and flexibility are essential.
