As a Kennel Technician, you"ll be the unsung hero of our shelter, responsible for making sure our furry residents have clean, comfortable, and safe living quarters. You"ll be the one who feeds, waters, and cleans up after our animals, ensuring they have everything they need to stay healthy and happy. Some of your key responsibilities will include cleaning and disinfecting animal kennels and living areas; feeding and watering animals, following specific diets and instructions; providing enrichment and socialization opportunities to our animals; monitoring animals for signs of illness or distress, and reporting any concerns; helping with adoption events and other shelter activities as needed. To succeed in this role, you"ll need to be a self-starter who"s not afraid to get their hands dirty. You"ll need to have strong time management skills and be able to juggle multiple tasks at once, all while providing compassionate care to our animals. But most importantly, you"ll need to have a love for all things furry and a desire to make a difference in the lives of our shelter animals.
