NUTECH FIRE ALARM AND SECURITY is a progressive alarm company servicing Southern California. We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated individual interested in financial rewards and long-term career growth. Position Responsibilities:
Perform service activities mainly on Nursecall / Door wandering systems
Effectively service panels with hardwired zones with no supervision.
Able to troubleshoot wiring issues such as grounds, shorts and opens.
Manage service issues on-site to ensure fiscal requirements are met.
Manage multiple small to large systems accurately and in an efficient manner.
Identify and sell basic product enhancements to customers.
Troubleshoot systems and perform necessary repairs.
Evaluate and diagnose equipment that requires servicing as well as troubleshoot problems.
Assist in developing training programs for employees and customers.
Provide specific solutions and recommendations to customers on the most efficient and cost effective methods to return equipment to working order.
Survey building systems, consult with building engineers and property managers and make service recommendations to ensure trouble free system performance and compliance with maintenance and testing requirements.
Perform key account maintenance to maintain and strengthen relationships, provide customer status reports, attend sales meetings, interface with commercial property managers and building engineers, review service reports.
Promptly respond to customer needs in a professional and enthusiastic manner.
Submit all required reports, expenses, competitive activity and correspondence in an accurate and timely matter.
Coordinate rescheduling of any services with service coordinator and customer to ensure total customer satisfaction.
Updates job knowledge by tracking emerging trends in service; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Requirements:
Service Technician must be highly motivated and self-starter who can work independently without supervision.
Must be professionally presentable, dependable and have a positive optimistic attitude towards work
Associate’s Degree in Electronics and/or combined 5 or more years of experience as a Service Technician within the Nursecall / Low Voltage Industry.
Experience performing low voltage service on Nuresecall is a must.
Advanced knowledge of Tektone / Accutech product lines and demonstrated proficiency in Nursecall / Door wandering systems will be a big PLUS!
Strong problem-solving techniques in various electrical products.
Demonstrated ability to train customers.
Demonstrated high level of customer service and ability to express service solutions in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to lift equipment and tools up to 40lbs and climb ladders and scaffolding.
Candidate must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, be proficient in computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Access.
Must be organized, able to work without constant supervision, able to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers.
Candidate must be able to read blueprints and/or visually identify system components of systems.
Ability to contribute and operate in a team environment and coordinate with other departments.
