Job Description

  • Launch and grow adoption of a newly approved specialty therapy within a defined territory.
  • Achieve sales, revenue, and market share objectives while maintaining the highest ethical and compliance standards
  • Educate healthcare providers and key stakeholders on product value, clinical data, and appropriate use.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and healthcare decision-makers.
  • Develop territory business plans that leverage market insights, customer needs, and competitive intelligence.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Marketing teams to address customer needs and drive performance.
  • Analyze sales and market data to identify opportunities and optimize resource deployment.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers by maintaining deep expertise in the disease state, treatment landscape, and evolving market dynamics.
  • Represent the organization at scientific, educational, and industry events.
  • Manage territory activities, reporting, and expenses in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and pharmacovigilance requirements.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university required.
  • Pharma/biotech Sales experience (7+ years preferred), with current or recent experience in Antibiotic/Infectious Diseases.
  • Product launch experience, preferably at start-ups or small to mid-size companies, is preferred.
  • Proven track record of successful performance and regional or national awards - must have documentation.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to form strong, trusting partnerships to drive performance.
  • Adeptness in both verbal & written communication, applying advanced presentation skills for the delivery of corporate approved materials and the ability to proactively identify customer's style / behaving and quickly adapt selling approach.
  • Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools to identify trends, opportunities, and threats and develop refined territory/region business plans.
  • Strong strategic and critical thinking capabilities, offering innovative ideas and solutions to maximize business opportunities to address challenges.
  • In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitor; recognized as an expert resource by all relevant stakeholders.
  • Ability to build collaborative partnerships and operate effectively in a matrix environment; expert collaboration with cross-functional partners, including marketing, training, operations, advocacy, medical, etc.
  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory environment; operates compliantly at all times.
  • A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Up to 60% (dependent on geography) travel expectation - overnight travel may be required within territory and will be required for meetings/training.

What's on Offer

  • Competitive annual salary ranging from $150,000 to $200,000, with additional on-target commission earnings of approximately $50,000-$60,000 annually.
  • Permanent position with opportunities for impact in the life science industry.

Our client will be hiring six Key Account Managers in the Northeast - territories can be discussed in initial conversations.
