Key Responsibilities

• Drive sales growth for laser cutting and laser welding solutions through strategic business development and account management.
• Develop relationships with OEMs, system integrators, Tier suppliers, and end users across automotive, aerospace, and manufacturing industries.
• Manage the full sales cycle including prospecting, technical discovery, proposal development, presentations, negotiations, and closing.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic customer accounts while maintaining long-term partnerships and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct technical product demonstrations, presentations, and process/application discussions with customers.
• Collaborate internally with engineering, applications, and service teams to support successful project execution and customer implementations.
• Support customer trials, process validation activities, and laser processing optimization initiatives.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies within the laser processing and automation industries.
• Represent the organization at trade shows, conferences, and customer-facing industry events.

Qualifications (Must-Haves)

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related technical discipline OR equivalent technical industry experience.
• 5 years of experience in technical sales, applications engineering, or business development within industrial laser systems, automation, or advanced manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of laser material processing technologies including laser cutting, laser welding, or related systems.
• Proven ability to develop new business while managing strategic customer accounts.
• Strong consultative communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel 30–50% across North America.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)

• Experience with laser beam delivery systems, processing heads, or laser process monitoring technologies.
• Knowledge of industrial automation, robotics integration, CNC systems, or advanced manufacturing systems.
• Experience selling into automotive OEMs, Tier suppliers, machine builders, or system integrators.
• Familiarity with leading fiber laser manufacturers and advanced laser processing technologies.
• Additional language skills such as Spanish or German.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $120,000–$140,000

On-Target Earnings (OTE) / Bonus Structure: Approximately $175K Total Compensation with performance-based incentives
