Kids Ministry Coordinator

Our church... is a non-denominational multi-site church with four St. Louis-area campuses where we gather each weekend to study this ancient story found in Scripture that is still transforming lives today. We believe church should be a place where believers in Jesus and skeptics can stand side-by-side to study truth and ask tough questions. We blend teaching and worship with art and technology to create a service where you can experience the message of Jesus in practical and life-changing ways.

Kids Coordinator......provides leadership and oversight for the Nursery/Twos, PreK or Elementary rooms at the Chesterfield campus, with primary responsibility for weekend execution and the recruitment, development, care, and management of coaches and volunteers. The coordinator works to create an engaging, safe, relational, and spiritually formative environment where kids can grow in their relationship with Jesus and volunteers are equipped and empowered to serve effectively. The ideal candidate is highly relational, flexible, and organized, with a passion for Jesus Christ, The Crossing's vision, and helping children become fully devoted followers of Christ.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Weekend Service Leadership

• Prepare for and oversee coaches and volunteers during assigned weekend services, ensuring rooms are appropriately staffed, equipped, organized, and ready for ministry.
• Communicate relevant weekend information and ensure programming is implemented effectively.
• Empower coaches to lead their teams and provide ongoing support, feedback, and direction.
• Engage with parents and families, providing encouragement and addressing behavioral or care concerns.
• Step in and serve wherever needed to ensure an effective weekend ministry experience.

Volunteer Leadership & Development

• Help build the volunteer team by inviting people to join the team.
• Identify emerging leaders, invest in their development, and equip/empower them to take on greater responsibility.
• Provide care and support to volunteers and families during times of crisis as needed.

Ministry Operations & Participation

• Attend and actively participate in KidsCrossing staff, campus, and other ministry meetings as needed.
• Participate in special events, team celebrations, baptisms, kid-focused events, and other ministry initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Attend a service at one of The Crossing campuses on a weekly basis
• Passionate about their relationship with God
• Baptized after making the thoughtful decision to follow Christ
• Regard the Bible as God's final authority in all areas of Christian life and desire to be wholly obedient to it
• Wholeheartedly affirm The Crossing's Statement of Faith, including our view on Baptism
• Live a lifestyle consistent with scriptural principles
