Kids Room Attendant – Friday & Saturday Evenings

Sunset Hills Country Club is seeking a friendly, responsible, and energetic individual to work in our Kids Room on Friday and Saturday evenings.

The Kids Room Attendant will provide a welcoming, safe, and enjoyable environment for our members’ children while their parents enjoy the Club. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys interacting with children, is comfortable maintaining appropriate behavior expectations, and will actively engage with the children rather than simply supervise the room.

Responsibilities

• Supervise members’ children while they are using the Kids Room.
• Create a safe, positive, and welcoming environment.
• Actively interact and play games with the children.
• Encourage children to be respectful, courteous, and behave like little ladies and gentlemen.
• Help children learn to share, take turns, and treat other children respectfully.
• Ensure toys, games, books, and other Kids Room items are used appropriately.
• Require children to return toys and games to their proper places when they are finished.
• Keep the Kids Room organized, neat, and presentable throughout the evening.
• Monitor behavior and appropriately address minor behavior concerns.
• Communicate any significant concerns or incidents to Club management and the child’s parent or guardian.
• Check the room at the end of the evening to ensure toys and games are organized and the area is ready for the next day.
• Provide the friendly, professional service expected at Sunset Hills Country Club.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Successfully complete a background check for this position.
• Enjoy working and interacting with children.
• Be dependable, patient, friendly, and responsible.
• Be comfortable supervising multiple children at one time.
• Have good communication skills with both children and adults.
• Be able to establish appropriate boundaries while maintaining a fun atmosphere.
• Take pride in keeping the Kids Room clean and organized.
• Be available to work Friday and Saturday evenings.
• Previous babysitting, childcare, teaching, camp counseling, daycare, or similar experience is preferred.

What We Are Looking For

This is not a position for someone who simply wants to sit and watch the room. We are looking for an individual who will engage with the children, play games, help create activities, and make the Kids Room a place our members’ children look forward to visiting.

Our goal is to provide parents with confidence that their children are in a supervised and enjoyable environment while also teaching the children to respect the Club, the Kids Room, and one another.
