Kindergarten Long Term Substitute

GRACE~ St. Thomas More Catholic School is looking for a Long Term Kindergarten Substitute for 12 weeks who will utilize student learning results to deliver instruction that meets the diverse needs and interests of adolescent learners while a teacher is out

Essential Functions:

• Teach students scheduled material in their teacher''s absence
• Utilize classroom management skills to keep students on task
• Handle any student outbursts according to school procedure
• Provide a safe and effective learning environment for students
• Work with staff in the building to keep students on schedule

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Bachelors degree
• Have effective listening skills
• Represent and teach lesson plans provided by the regularly scheduled teacher
• Demonstrate and understand the use of technology in the classroom
• Demonstrate the ability to provide a safe, positive and engaging learning environment for students

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, sit, and frequently bend or twist at the neck and trunk. The employee will use the hands to feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally exert or lift up to 40 pounds. Successful performance requires specific vision abilities that include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision
