The Kindergarten paraprofessional will assist, support, and work closely with teachers, administrators, and other team members in providing quality education instruction to students in a full day kindergarten classroom. Work as an inclusion paraprofessional for students including English Learners and special education students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Actively participate in the educational program and help in classroom management, lesson planning, and recording of student data, as requested.
- Facilitate students'' travel from classroom activities and appointments by giving specific directions and monitoring independent travel.
- Participate in staff and /or unit meetings as appropriate.
- Monitor all activities to ensure the safety and well-being of students and inform the teacher of any problems, conflicts and/or issues.
- Work cooperatively with administrative and nursing staff to ensure that program activities are conducted in a safe and professional manner.
- Actively participate in program and professional development activities in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations.
- Work with students to implement program goals and objectives.
- Maintain professional standards and practices.
Terms: 182 school days, 6.5 hours per day, plus compensation for 10 holidays
Salary: Consistent with Support Personnel Collective Bargaining Agreement
