Kindergarten Teacher

Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School is seeking a Kindergarten Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This teacher, along with an assistant teacher, is responsible for creating a warm, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional, development of young children. The teacher will integrate general studies with Jewish values, traditions, and culture, fostering a strong foundation for lifelong learning and identity. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate curriculum in literacy, math, and social studies.  

• Establish strong relationships and develop predictable routines in the classroom 

• Integrate Jewish values, holidays, and traditions into daily instruction as appropriate  

• Create a joyful, inclusive, and respectful classroom  

• Use play-based, hands-on, and inquiry-driven teaching methods  

• Support students’ social and emotional growth, emphasizing kindness, respect, responsibility, and self-regulation 

• Assess student progress and utilize formal and informal assessment to drive instruction 

• Communicate regularly and effectively with parents 

• Collaborate with Kindergarten team, Judaic studies teachers, specialists, and support staff  

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (required)  

• Experience working with young children in a classroom setting  

• Knowledge of or comfort with Jewish traditions, holidays, and culture  

• Strong classroom management and communication skills
