Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School is seeking a Kindergarten Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This teacher, along with an assistant teacher, is responsible for creating a warm, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional, development of young children. The teacher will integrate general studies with Jewish values, traditions, and culture, fostering a strong foundation for lifelong learning and identity.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate curriculum in literacy, math, and social studies.
- Establish strong relationships and develop predictable routines in the classroom
- Integrate Jewish values, holidays, and traditions into daily instruction as appropriate
- Create a joyful, inclusive, and respectful classroom
- Use play-based, hands-on, and inquiry-driven teaching methods
- Support students’ social and emotional growth, emphasizing kindness, respect, responsibility, and self-regulation
- Assess student progress and utilize formal and informal assessment to drive instruction
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents
- Collaborate with Kindergarten team, Judaic studies teachers, specialists, and support staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (required)
- Experience working with young children in a classroom setting
- Knowledge of or comfort with Jewish traditions, holidays, and culture
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
