Come work and enjoy the west side of the state of Michigan. Ludington Area School District is looking for a qualified teacher to join our staff at Ludington Elementary School in the capacity as a Kindergarten teacher.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that promote student engagement and facilitate learning in alignment with Michigan grade level curriculum.
- Implement balanced and systematic assessment practices that align with the district's multi-tiered system of supports.
- Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction and engage students in the learning process. Candidate must be driven to teach and lead with technology implementing one-on-one devices in the classroom.
- Establish a classroom environment that values positive and meaningful relationships through intentional implementation of the district's SEL and Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports System.
- Collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to remove barriers that interfere with academic success.
- Exhibit an ability to work within a Professional Learning Communities.
- Effectively and efficiently communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and needs.
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
- Willingness to participate in professional learning communities to support school-wide and district-wide alignment of best practices.

- The capacity to rigorously create and sustain a well-orchestrated system of ongoing data collection and analysis to inform a continuously responsive and adaptive system of tiered instruction attentive to student's specific academic needs.
- The capacity to align curriculum, instruction, and assessments while responding to individual needs of students.
- The ability to seek out knowledgeable peers, coaches or administrators for instructional support in the never-ending quest to deliver the vision of high quality subject-specific instruction in every class period of every day.

Required Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Education
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education
