Helena School District # 1 has openings for KinderSprouts Para Educator positions at Kessler, Bryant, Broadwater

The KinderSprouts program is designed to assist four-year (4) olds in developing early literacy skills through instruction and play. It is shown early literacy programs can improve kindergarten readiness. This position will be scheduled to work eight (8) hours per school day (8:00 am to 4:00 pm). Prior successful experience working with and around preschool age children is desired. At Helena Public Schools, our vision is to foster dynamic educational experiences that prepare all students for life. As a General Education/Kinder Sprouts Para Educator, you contribute to this mission by assisting students individually and in small groups.

Some of what you will do:

• Assists with individual and small group pupil instruction and play; tutors pupils at teachers' request.
• Assists in maintaining discipline and other functions.
• Assist with attendance and related clerical matters.
• May assist with hygiene of students.
• May escort students to and from various rooms.

To become part of this dedicated team, you need:

• A High School diploma or equivalent may be considered with a commitment to completing the District's Title I recognized training.
• At least three (3) months of related experience and/or training;
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience as determined by the District.

Essential functions of the position include the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Current entry level salary range is $15.45-$18.98 per hour depending on education level and applicable relevant school-related experience as determined by the district. This position includes a comprehensive benefit package.
