About IMAP
Launched in 2025, NASA’s Interstellar Mapping and Acceleration Probe (IMAP) explores our solar neighborhood by decoding particles from the Sun and beyond our cosmic shield. The spacecraft carries 10 cutting-edge instruments and orbits about one million miles from Earth toward the Sun, allowing it to study the boundary of the Solar System and provide warnings of harmful radiation.

IMAP Outreach engages community organizations across the country through themed educational activities and communications.
The Kit Assembly Associate will work independently and collaboratively as part of a team to assemble and prepare outreach kits by interpreting packing lists, organizing scientific materials and technical components, and ensuring accuracy and completeness prior to shipment.
