Schedule/Hours: M-F 11:00 AM-6:00 pm (29 Hours per week)
This Position is responsible for:
- Preps and serves nutritional meals and snacks in accordance with established guidelines and schedules
- Ensures all meals are prepared and served in a safe and presentable manner
- Cleans kitchen facilities, equipment, and appliances
- Maintains inventory of kitchen supplies and food in a neat and orderly manner
Kitchen Cleaning Responsibilities (60%)
- Cleans tables, chairs, floors, dishes, utensils, and kitchen appliances, and maintains a high degree of cleanliness in the kitchen and dining room
- Washes, dries, and stores pots, pans, plates, glasses, cups, bowls, and utensils
- Sweeps and mops the kitchen and vacuums dining room floors
Food Prepping and serving responsibilities (40%)
- Open the kitchen, turn on the dishwasher, fill the sink with water, set up cereal, arrange bowls, refill the milk machine, make coffee, prepare and stock condiments, and make sure the dining room is ready for every meal
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Duties are usually performed standing; sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking
- Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting, and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs), 5-10% of work
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or Some Schooling
- No prior experience required or One year of experience working in a kitchen is preferred
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Certifications:
- Food Handlers Certification (or ability to obtain within established timeframe)
