Schedule/Hours: To be determined, preferably on Weekends 8:00 am - 6:00 pm (29 hours per week)
This position is responsible for:
Assists in the preparation and serving of meals; cleans kitchen equipment and washes dishes; sweeps, mops, and waxes floors.
Key Responsibilities:
Assists in preparing meals, beverages and snacks; washes and chops fruits and vegetables; mixes beverages and arranges snacks
Assists in serving meals ensuring appropriate proportions are provided.
Washes, dries, and stores pots, pans, plates, glasses, cups, bowls, and utensils.
Cleans tables, chairs, and condiment holders
Sweeps, mops, polishes, strips, and waxes kitchen and dining room floors.
Cleans refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, coffee makers, stoves, and ovens.
Stocks foods, beverages, and supplies in an orderly and safe manner.
Empties trash cans.
Performs all kitchen work in accordance with health regulations as it relates to food preparation, food serving and storage.
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
Duties are usually performed by frequent walking and/or standing, kneeling, or squatting relieved by lesser periods of sitting.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works is performed in a normal kitchen environment where there may be limited physical discomforts associated with working around hot stoves/ovens or cold freezer

One year of experience working in a kitchen preferred,
or
any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
