About the Role:
Lasting Impressions Child Development Center in Clarksburg, WV is looking for a dedicated Kitchen Assistant/Food Prep team member to help nourish our little learners every day! This is a wonderful opportunity to play a meaningful role in the lives of children by ensuring they receive healthy, delicious meals in a safe and caring environment.



Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and serving of daily meals and snacks for children
• Follow established menus, recipes, and portion guidelines to ensure nutritional standards are met
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment at all times
• Properly store, label, and rotate food items in accordance with food safety regulations
• Wash, sanitize, and put away dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Monitor food temperatures and adhere to health and safety protocols
• Support kitchen staff with restocking supplies and inventory management

Requirements:

• Prior experience in food prep, food service, or a commercial kitchen preferred
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe certification a plus)
• Ability to follow recipes, menus, and dietary guidelines accurately
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Compassionate, team-oriented attitude with a passion for working in a child-centered setting
• Ability to pass a background check as required for childcare facility employment
