Kitchen Assistant

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with a need for accommodation to perform the essential functions of this job.

• Prepare food and serve school lunches within designated timelines
• Assist Kitchen Manager with receiving food orders and re-stocking shelves
• Assist Kitchen Manager with daily starting and closing procedures
• Ensure all regulations related to food handling are followed
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the school kitchen

REQUIREMENTS:

• A Christian role model in attitude, speech, action
• Agree with Cascade Christian Schools'' Teaching Statements and Statement of Faith
• Have a high school diploma or GED
• Prior job-related experience preferred
• Current Washington State/Pierce County food handler's permit
• Excellent customer service and positive attitude
• Ability to lift 35 - 40 lbs.
• Independent worker
• Flexibility
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Demonstrate an attitude of support and encouragement
• Yearly regulatory training
• CPR Certified
• Complete a successful background check

WORK HOURS:

This part-time position works 20-25 hours per week, Monday through Friday, and follows the Junior High/High School academic calendar.

START DATE:

August 24, 2026

SALARY RANGE:

$17.80-$20.55 per hour, depending on qualifications

Plus $0.50 shift differential for school size
