As a Team Member, you play a crucial role in our success. In selecting Team members, we are looking for hard working, coachable individuals who will share our passion to make an impact on our local Melrose Park community. You will interact directly with guests in serving their needs with remarkable service and hospitality. 

Team Members are responsible for creating and maintaining a fun, enthusiastic, emotionally connected atmosphere for all guests and Team Members who come into contact with the Chick-fil-A Melrose Park brand.

Expectations of a Team Member: 

• Work your scheduled shifts and arrive on time every shift
• Arrive for your shift in full uniform: shirt, pants, non-slip shoes, name tag
• Keep a “sense of urgency” and a “pep in your step” when it comes to serving our Guests
• Serve > Stock > Sanitize. When things slow down, know what you should be doing next
• You will be trained in the “Chick-fil-A” way, strive to hold to that standard

Job Description - Back of House Team Member

• Energetic and fast-paced team members who can handle the stresses of a kitchen job during a busy period. Must be humble and able to be flexible in their job assignments while also taking initiative to fulfill their tasks.
• Ensures a clean and sanitize food contact surface before and after preparing food and at least every 4 hours for ongoing tasks
• Ensures a clean and inviting kitchen environment; this includes walls, floors, floorboards, ceiling, hood vents and equipment
• Able to correctly assemble all menu products and properly use all equipment related to the kitchen
• Communicates effectively with the front counter and drive-thru team

Responsibilities of a Team Member:

• On arrival for your shift, check in with a leader for your assigned position
• Stay focused on your assigned position and relevant duties, and strive continue developing in that position
• Although you may have a favorite, be willing and flexible to learn and serve in any position
• Always serve the guest first, then stock sauces, cups, ice, tea, etc, then clean and tidy

Your Experience

You will work alongside a certified trainer for four to five training shifts, learning the ins and outs of the business. During this time, we will equip you with everything you will need to know to succeed here. Over time you will be evaluated by a leader, which will make you eligible for scheduled pay raises and promotions. When regulations allow, The Leadership Team will hold seasonal outings for Team Members to gather outside the four walls of our restaurant and do life together.
