SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Kitchen Caramel Cooker's for a large, well-known client in Niles, IL. The kitchen caramel cooker is responsible for cooking Affy Tapple, QVC and Mrs. Prindable’s caramel, following the different recipes. Cookers are responsible also for leaving all equipment and utensils clean, sweep and mop floor on daily basis.

Responsibilities of the Kitchen Caramel Cooker:- Know how to Pre-scale ingredients used for the caramel batch.
- Know how to Operate the fire mixer.
- Know how to get and write down lot numbers from ingredients used in the caramel on the Ingredient Lot Tracking Form.
- Know the caramel formulas and the caramel cooking procedures.
- Know how to operate the corn syrup meter.
- Know how to operate the kettle lifter.
- This position requires the use of Good Cleaning Practices and the use of special safety equipment for your own protection.
- Authority to stop the line for any Food Safety or Quality issues / concerns.
Required Qualifications of the Kitchen Caramel Cooker - Standing for prolonged periods of time while scaling ingredients or pouring the hot caramel in to the holding tanks after caramel is cook.
- Able to work in a about 85 – 90 F temperature area on summertime in the kitchen area and able to use protective equipment (arm sleeves, eye protection, etc.)
- Able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Able to push or pull kettle lift carts with 100 pounds of caramel
- Able to sweep, mop after production finish or before if needed.
- Able to work with other people and follow up instructions.
