Kitchen Team Member – Afternoon/Evening & Closing

Chick-fil-A The Shoppes at Bartlett is looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our Kitchen team for afternoon, evening, and closing shifts.
Kitchen Team Members are responsible for preparing the food our guests know and love while maintaining high standards for quality, food safety, cleanliness, and consistency.
No previous restaurant experience is required. We'll teach you our kitchen systems, equipment, recipes, and food-safety procedures through hands-on training.

Inside Our Kitchen
Kitchen Team Members work together across several positions to keep the restaurant running efficiently.
Depending on your training and position, you may:
- Prepare, cook, assemble, and stock food according to Chick-fil-A standards
- Bread chicken by hand and prepare products for cooking
- Operate pressure fryers, open fryers, grills, and other kitchen equipment after completing required training
- Follow established recipes, portion sizes, cooking procedures, and quality standards
- Read screens and order information accurately to prepare the correct products
- Monitor food quality and freshness throughout the shift
- Complete required temperature checks and follow food-safety procedures
- Stock ingredients, packaging, and supplies throughout the kitchen
- Wash dishes and maintain clean kitchen equipment
- Sweep, mop, remove trash, and complete assigned cleaning responsibilities
- Unload deliveries and place products in appropriate storage areas
- Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary workstations
- Communicate with Kitchen and Front of House Team Members to keep orders moving
- Assist teammates and other areas of the restaurant when needed
Closing Responsibilities
Closing Team Members play an important role in finishing the day well and preparing the restaurant for the following morning.
As part of the closing team, you may also:
- Break down and clean assigned kitchen stations
- Clean and properly care for kitchen equipment
- Wash and organize dishes, utensils, and food-preparation equipment
- Restock products and supplies for the next business day
- Properly store food and ingredients at the end of the shift
- Complete assigned floors, trash, and sanitation responsibilities
- Follow closing food-safety and equipment procedures
- Complete assigned closing checklists
- Help ensure the kitchen is clean, organized, stocked, and ready for the opening team

Physical Requirements
Kitchen Team Members should be prepared for an active work environment and be able to:
- Remain on their feet for extended periods
- Walk, bend, reach, lift, and perform repetitive movements
- Work safely around hot cooking equipment and surfaces
- Work in areas with varying temperatures
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds when necessary
- Perform basic math and measurement tasks
- Safely use restaurant equipment after completing required training
- Maintain productivity in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old
- No previous restaurant experience required
- Must be able to close until approximately 11:00 PM at least three nights per week
- Must be dependable and able to maintain the availability agreed upon at hiring
- Must be willing to complete required training
- Must follow food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety procedures
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with reasonable accommodation where applicable
