Garfield School District #302 Classified Position Announcement In/Out of District Date: 08/27/26 Open until lled Kitchen Cook - 8.0 per day Monday-Friday | School Setting We are seeking a dependable and hard-working Kitchen Assistant to support daily food service operations in our school kitchen. This position is 8.0 hours per day, Monday through Friday. 192 Contracted Days. Responsibilities: Weekly Food Vendor Ordering Food Preparation/Scratch Cooking While Meeting Federal, State, and Local Nutritional Guidelines Accurate Production Record Tracking/Record Keeping/Temperature Logs Serve Food to Students and Staff in a Timely, Courteous Manner Clean and Sanitize Kitchen Surfaces and Food Service Areas Stock Food and Supplies As Needed Following (HACCP) Protocols Keep Accurate Inventory Perform Other Duties As Assigned Qualifications: Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment Strong Teamwork and Communication Skills Dependable and Punctual Ability to Follow Food Safety and Sanitation Guidelines Ability to Lift and Carry Over 50 Pounds This is a great opportunity to be part of a supportive school team while helping provide nutritious meals to students each day.
