WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 6-10 kitchen employees.
  • Coaches and trains staff to perform at their fullest potential.
  • Conducts annual reviews in collaboration with supervisor, and meets with team members for one-on-one check-ins.
  • Checks accuracy and safety of all food before service. Monitors and records temperatures.
  • Manages inventory and ordering of all kitchen's food, supplies, and disposables.
  • Supervises daily deliveries and serving lines.
  • Determines quantity of prepared foods to be used per planned menu.
  • Tracks usage of food and supplies and orders from multiple vendors to maintain adequate inventory.
  • Prepares work schedule for kitchen employees by checking menu in advance for workload and food preparation.
  • Maintains district-wide production records.
  • Reconciles cash for daily sales.
  • Provides information to Director of School Nutrition for budget preparation.
  • Assists with daily cleaning of kitchen, serving area, and equipment.
  • Assures that sanitation and safety practices in all phases of the school nutrition operation meet established standards.
  • Utilizes cost control procedures to avoid unwarranted school nutrition operating costs.
  • Initiates requests for equipment repairs or possible replacement.
  • Maintains an on-going plan for professional growth by attending meetings, workshops, and seminars for improvement of job competencies.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL RECEIVE

  • $20.50 per hour
