At Chick-fil-A, the BOH Director is a hands-on operational leader responsible for leading shifts, developing people, and driving overall Back of House performance. This role is not simply a support position—the BOH Director is accountable for ensuring the restaurant operates safely, efficiently, and consistently while maintaining high standards of food quality, speed, cleanliness, hospitality, and team performance.
The BOH Director will lead restaurant shifts from start to finish, including being responsible for opening and closing the restaurant. They set the tone for the team, provide direction throughout the shift, address operational challenges in real time, and hold Team Members and leaders accountable to expectations.
At the same time, this is a hands-on leadership role. BOH Directors are expected to work alongside the team in day-to-day line operations, including production, food preparation, quality control, cleanliness, and other operational responsibilities. The expectation is to lead from the front—not manage from the sidelines.
The ideal candidate consistently demonstrates Chick-fil-A's core values, embraces the Chick-fil-A culture, and has a servant's heart. They have a passion for people, strong character, take initiative, work with urgency, and understand that great restaurant performance starts with great leadership.
$55,000–$63,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
This is a leadership position with significant responsibility for restaurant operations, team performance, and shift execution.
The BOH Director is responsible for the overall operational effectiveness of their area and must have a flexible schedule based on the needs of the restaurant.
Our restaurant is open to customers Monday–Saturday, 6:30 AM–10:00 PM. The Director will be expected to work a combination of opening, closing, and peak operating shifts as needed.
This is a leadership position for someone who wants to own the performance of a shift and help lead the restaurant forward. The right person will be comfortable giving direction, holding people accountable, solving problems, working the line, opening and closing the restaurant, and taking ownership of results.
If you are looking for a position where you can lead people, operate at a high level, and make a measurable impact every day, we would love to hear from you.
