Position Summary
The Kitchen Assistant supports food production, kitchen safety, and sanitation for country club kitchen operations. This role, assists the Kitchen Staff, and Head Chef and involves assisting with food prep, washing dishes, and maintaining kitchen safety and sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare food as required.
- Wash dishes and clean kitchen equipment and surfaces.
- Maintain Safe and clean work environment
- Stock food and receive and unload delivered items under the direction of the head chef
- Follow all sanitation protocols for food preparation and kitchen clean-up, as directed.
Qualifications
- Ability to work in extreme heat and/or cold.
- Willingness to stand for several hours per day and work with cleaning compounds.
- Capable of occasionally lifting and moving heavy objects or boxes up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of and willingness to follow sanitation protocols for food preparation and clean-up.
The Kitchen Helper is responsible for food prep and at a specific station as assigned in a commercial kitchen. Primary duties include prepping ingredients, executing recipes to standard, maintaining strict food safety and cleanliness standards in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $25.00 Per HourP
