* Must be courteous to patients, visitors, physicians, volunteers, and other employees of the organization.* Under the general supervision of the Dietary Manager, and or designee and within hospital and departmental policies and procedures is responsible for the following duties:* Prepare and assemble cold food items in accordance with census and hospital specifications* Set up patient trays according to menus and diet instructions; assist with delivery of trays when needed and return trays to dietary after meals.* Supply floor pantries with needed listed food items. Clean pantries and clean and defrost refrigerators as assigned. Make and deliver requested between-meal nourishments.* Assist in dish room with de-traying, dishwashing, and storage of clean dish items.* Take fruit and vegetable inventory twice weekly, as assigned.* Make coffee for Hospital meetings. Sets up hospital functions under supervision of the Food Service Manager or designee.* Sweep and mop Kitchen, walk in, and storeroom floors daily.* Other general cleaning as assigned.* Wash pots, pans and utensils, and help with vegetable prep.* Completes production for all dietary needs.* Must wear facility provided identification badge.Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers and co-workers in a manner that reflects Falmouth Hospital's commitment to CARES: compassion, accountability, respect, excellence and service.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
