The Heart of the House team members is involved with every facet of food preparation, as well as the final presentation as it is to be delivered to the guest. Their importance cannot be overstated. We are a high-volume, fast past restaurant located in the CountryClub Plaza and have been serving Kansas City for over 20 years. Looking to fill multiple line positions for night shifts, full or part-time available, weekends, Sunday, and Monday availability is a Mandatory. The ideal candidate must be qualified and comfortable at all stations of the line. This is a prep heavy kitchen where everyone is required to understand all prep and sanitation standards and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Follows and reinforces The Melting Pot culture around the Perfect Night Out.
Practices teamwork by communicating with and assisting all members of the restaurant team, promoting positive interaction between all team members.
Adheres to and maintains company policies and standards, complying with uniform standards, appearance and grooming best practices, and federal, state, and local laws and guidelines concerning food safety.
Follows all of the company's specifications and procedures to ensure Exceptional Food. Follows all food rotation and re-stocking procedures using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method. Follows and uses all food safety procedures and logs.
Uses checklists to ensure proper set-up and close down of each shift and effective time management.
Qualification Requirements:
Work in Fast-Paced, High Volume Environment, Weekends, Nights, & Holidays Required
Ability to Maintain Safe, Clean, Organized Food Prep Areas and Stations
Ability to stay focused and work well under pressure and timelines
Ability to lift 50LB, and work on feet for extended periods
