POSITION: Kitchen/Lunchroom Helper (Part-Time) DUTIES: * Assist in preparing ready-to-eat foods * Wash and prepare fruits and vegetables * Operate common commercial kitchen equipment (grills, ovens, steamers, stoves, * mixing, grating, slicing, and dishwashing machines) * Set up lunch counters * Portion and serve food to students * Clean ovens, grills, food preparation areas, serving, storage, and eating areas * Clean kitchen and cooking equipment * Wash dishes, trays, utensils, and replenish cutlery and napkin containers * Follow guidelines from CDE, USDA, and Health Department * Maintain cooperative relationships with staff and students * May assist the Cook in the absence of the Lunchroom Manager * Other duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS: * Ability to carry out oral and written directions * High School diploma preferred * Good previous work record * Ability to pass background check, fingerprinting, and worker's compensation inquiries * Possess good manual dexterity and aptitude for assigned responsibilities * Ability to lift 50 pounds * Ability to squat, bend, and be on feet for three or more consecutive hours OTHER REQUIREMENTS: * Confidentiality, courtesy, and respect in all interactions * Cooperation with a positive attitude * Reliability and punctuality * Accuracy and efficiency in tasks * Honesty * Timeliness in meeting deadlines PREFERRED SKILLS: * Experience working in a kitchen, cafeteria, or similar environment WAGE: $15.75 - $22.00 per hour SHIFTS: Day shift - 6 hours per day, four days a week (weekdays) JOB SITE: Swink, CO BENEFITS: PERA, no other benefits APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS: If you meet the minimum requirements for this position, please click on How to Apply' to view application information.
