Kitchen Manager — The Skinny Pancake (Burlington, VT)

Salary: $52,000–$58,000 annually, plus RevShare (estimated $3,000–$4,000 per year)

What You’ll Do as a Kitchen Manager

  • Hands‑on kitchen leadership — this role is on the line and in the prep kitchen the majority of each shift, actively cooking and supporting the team
  • Train, coach, and develop kitchen staff
  • Lead daily BOH operations: prep, service flow, closing
  • Manage labor, scheduling, and payroll accuracy
  • Oversee ordering, inventory, and COGS
  • Maintain food quality, consistency, and safety standards
  • Collaborate with FOH leadership as MOD to ensure smooth service
  • Uphold our standards of hospitality, teamwork, and excellence

What Makes You a Strong Fit for the Kitchen Manager Role

  • Three or more years in varied restaurant positions, including cooking and supervisory experience
  • Experience leading a kitchen team in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment
  • Calm, organized, and solutions‑oriented during peak volume
  • Strong communication, coaching, and team‑building skills
  • Ability to learn and train others on all aspects of the operation
  • ServSafe Food Manager Certification (preferred)
  • Availability for 8–10 hour shifts between 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m., including weekends and holidays
