Kitchen Manager/Chef – Eaglewood Golf CourseThe City of North Salt Lake owns and operates a beautiful 18-hole golf facility, grill and event center in the foothills of North Salt Lake. The City is seeking qualified applicants to be part of our food and beverage operation. The Kitchen Manager/Chef for Eaglewood Golf Course will oversee and manage the daily operations of food and beverage services. This position reports directly to the Golf Director and works closely on a team that provides food and beverage support services to all activities at Eaglewood, including golf tournament events and corporate and event center catering services.This is an exciting opportunity for the right professional wanting to work as a team member where competitive compensation and benefits are provided.Responsibilities include:Working the grill and preparing food for daily serviceDeveloping recipes and building seasonal/rotating menusManaging food and beverage ordering and inventory including alcoholEstablishing and maintaining vendor relationshipsHandling invoicing, payments, and cost controlHiring, training, and supervising food and beverage staffEnsuring compliance with food handling, safety, and health guidelinesSupporting catering and service for golf tournaments, corporate events, and reception center functionsCommunicating with customers on menu, policies, proceduresCustomer service for day-to-day operationsTraining in all Food and Beverage StaffingHiring and disciplinary actions for F&B staffingPartnering with the event and golf operations team to coordinate service for special eventsThe Kitchen Manager will be responsible for hiring and training food and beverage staff but will also be part of a team where support staff are available to assist with organizing corporate events such as golf tournaments and reception center events.Qualifications: Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma and experience managing restaurant services, including but not limited to:Strong supervisory and leadership skillsExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsTime management and organizational skillsStrong knowledge of restaurant operations, food handling, safety, and relevant food and beverage guidelinesThe City is looking for a person who is self-motivated and wants to work hard and be rewarded for success. In addition, the City may provide incentive pay realized through an annual bonus (estimated between $5,000–$10,000) depending upon the success of the grill and overall growth in food and beverage revenues.
