Now Hiring: Working Kitchen Manager
Tarpon Bay Grill & Tiki
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Working Kitchen Manager to join our team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations while actively working alongside the team to ensure efficiency, quality, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service
Manage and execute inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining proper stock levels
Ensure all prep work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner
Maintain consistency and quality of all food being prepared and served
Supervise and support kitchen staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management
Enforce proper food safety, sanitation, and health department standards at all times
Monitor portion control, food costs, and waste to maintain profitability
Ensure all kitchen equipment is functioning properly and report maintenance needs
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Collaborate with management on menu development, specials, and operational improvements
Lead by example by working on the line during peak hours and supporting the team as needed
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a kitchen leadership role (Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or similar)
Strong knowledge of inventory systems, ordering, and cost control
Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Ability to multitask and problem-solve under pressure
Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
