    Kitchen Manager

    Pay: $21–$25 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

    What You'll Do

    Leadership

    • Lead, coach, and develop the Back of House team.
    • Build a positive, high-performing culture centered on teamwork and accountability.
    • Conduct daily coaching and performance conversations.
    • Train and develop future Trainers and Team Leads.
    • Hold team members accountable to Chick-fil-A standards.
    • Lead by example through humility, urgency, and servant leadership.

    Operational Excellence

    • Ensure food is prepared accurately, safely, and efficiently.
    • Execute Chick-fil-A recipes and procedures consistently.
    • Maintain speed of service and throughput goals.
    • Manage kitchen deployment throughout each shift.
    • Monitor production levels and minimize waste.
    • Ensure opening, transition, and closing procedures are completed.

    Food Safety & Quality

    • Maintain the highest standards of food safety and sanitation.
    • Ensure compliance with all local health regulations and Chick-fil-A standards.
    • Conduct food safety checks and corrective actions when necessary.
    • Monitor product quality, freshness, and holding times.
    • Ensure equipment is properly maintained and cleaned.

    Inventory & Kitchen Operations

    • Assist with inventory management and product ordering.
    • Monitor food cost and minimize waste.
    • Ensure accurate product rotation using FIFO.
    • Maintain organization throughout the kitchen.
    • Support equipment maintenance and preventative care.

    Team Development

    • Train new Back of House team members.
    • Conduct skill assessments and certifications.
    • Identify future leaders and develop succession plans.
    • Recognize and celebrate team successes.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement.

    Collaboration

    • Partner with Front of House leaders to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
    • Communicate effectively with the leadership team.
    • Assist with restaurant-wide initiatives and special projects.
    • Perform other duties as assigned to support restaurant operations and achieve business goals.

    Qualifications

    Preferred

    • 2+ years of restaurant leadership experience.
    • Experience leading high-volume kitchen operations.
    • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
    • Ability to coach and develop team members.
    • Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, Saturdays, and holidays as needed.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Ability to work in hot, fast-paced kitchen environments.
    • Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and carry products throughout the shift.
