As the Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for supervising kitchen staff, maintaining inventory, and implementing health and safety regulations while fostering a positive and productive work environment. Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure efficient workflow, food quality and presentation meet company standards.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation techniques, cooking methods and presentation standards.
  • Design organizational systems and implement for speed and optimize workflow and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Create Training program to be used by staff and to be used in future restaurants.
  • Implement and uphold quality control measures for all food items served.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to avoid shortages or excess waste.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Collaborate with chefs and management to plan menus and update recipes incorporating seasonal ingredients to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain cost control by managing budget, minimizing waste, and optimizing labor efficiency.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to improve team performance.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods as well as catering events.
  • Address any issues or complaints from staff or customers promptly and professionally.
  • Utilize Toast POS system for order management and ensure accurate reporting of sales as well as food cost.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or similar role in a casual dining environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene standards.
  • Strong culinary skills with a background in food preparation and kitchen management.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate staff.
  • Understanding of COGS and Food Safety Management required
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Familiarity with shift management practices to effectively lead the team during peak hours and keep unnecessary labor costs down.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff and management.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
