The Opportunity


We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee daily back-of-house operations at our new 80-seat Pasadena restaurant. The ideal candidate is an organized, hands-on leader passionate about maintaining high standards in food quality, safety, and efficiency. You’ll ensure smooth kitchen operations, manage systems and processes, and support the culinary team - helping deliver the consistency and culture that defines The Daily Catch brand.


About The Daily Catch


Founded in 1973 in Boston’s North End, The Daily Catch is a family-owned Sicilian seafood and pasta institution known for authentic East Coast flavors and craftsmanship. With three Boston restaurants and a seafood wholesale business, we’re proud to bring our heritage to the West Coast with our first California location - opening in Pasadena in Spring 2026.

 

We will be serving fresh New England seafood flown in multiple times per week and prepared with our classic Sicilian recipes, that have satisfied seafood lovers for over 50 years!

 

Responsibilities


  • Oversee all back-of-house operations: prep, service, sanitation, and safety.
  • Manage scheduling, staffing levels, and labor efficiency.
  • Maintain inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships.
  • Ensure food safety compliance and kitchen cleanliness standards.
  • Support menu execution and consistency across all services.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef on cost control and operational efficiency.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to systems and standards.
  • Monitor food costs, waste, and kitchen performance metrics.

 

Qualifications


  • 5–8 years of kitchen or restaurant management experience (Kitchen Manager or similar role).
  • Strong operational knowledge of high-volume, full-service kitchens.
  • Experience with inventory systems, scheduling, and cost control.
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
