Kitchen Manager

Canaan Chinese Cuisine is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house team for our upcoming grand opening in Rolling Hills Estates! Backed by over 20 years of established brand success, we are looking for a dedicated culinary leader who takes pride in high food quality, authentic flavors, and a supportive team culture.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, coordinate, and supervise daily back-of-house operations and line flow across all kitchen stations.
• Maintain strict standards for authentic recipe execution, taste consistency, portioning, and presentation.
• Oversee inventory management, ordering, ingredient prep, and waste control.
• Enforce food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness standards.
• Train, mentor, and support kitchen staff (wok cooks, prep cooks, pantry, expo, and dishwashers) to ensure a productive and positive work environment.
• Support kitchen operations on the line and handle other culinary and operational duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Proven supervisory or kitchen management experience in a high-volume restaurant.
• Extensive hands-on commercial wok cooking experience is required.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Valid California Food Manager Certification (or valid Food Handler Card).
