Position Summary

The Kitchen Manager oversees all back-of-house operations, ensuring food quality, kitchen efficiency, cleanliness, safety compliance, and team performance. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and hands-on culinary management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily kitchen operations and workflow
  • Supervise, train, and schedule kitchen staff
  • Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards
  • Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
  • Monitor food costs, waste, and labor expenses
  • Enforce health, sanitation, and safety regulations
  • Coordinate with front-of-house management to ensure smooth service
  • Resolve kitchen issues quickly and professionally
  • Maintain equipment and coordinate repairs when necessary
  • Support hiring and performance management of kitchen employees

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of kitchen management or supervisory experience
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Experience with inventory and cost control preferred
