Kitchen Manager Trainee

Diner Dogs in Melba is looking for a dependable, motivated person to join our team as a Kitchen Manager Trainee.

This is a full-time, approximately 40-hour-per-week position for someone who wants to learn our operation, develop leadership skills, and grow into an important role within our kitchen.

You do not need to walk in knowing everything. We are willing to train the right person. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, reliability, good judgment, and a genuine willingness to learn.

As you develop, you will learn and take increasing responsibility for:

• Food preparation and kitchen production
• Grill and cooking responsibilities
• Food quality, consistency, and cleanliness
• Inventory and ordering
• Opening and closing procedures
• Kitchen organization and workflow
• Training and helping other team members
• Recognizing what needs to be done and taking ownership
• Supporting the overall operation of Diner Dogs

We are building a culture of shared leadership, where team members learn to take responsibility, help one another, recognize what needs to be done, and contribute to the success of the entire operation.

This is not simply a job filling a schedule. Our goal is to find someone we can invest in and develop into a key member of the Diner Dogs team.

Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is helpful, but attitude, work ethic, reliability, and potential are more important than a particular job title or résumé.

Approximately 40 hours per week. Full-time.
