Our Kitchen Team Members prepare fresh food, maintain high standards, and keep the restaurant running smoothly. You’ll receive hands-on training, support from leaders who care about your development, and a clear path for growth. No restaurant experience is required. We'’ll teach you what you need to know.
Schedule Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old, 16 if homeschooled
- Opening shifts may begin as early as 4:00 a.m. and are eligible for premium pay
- Morning shifts begin around 6:00 AM end no later than 3:00 p.m.
- Reliable availability for the schedule agreed upon at hiring is required
- Once established, you will work a fixed schedule as much as possible for predictability
- Chick-fil-A is closed on Sundays
What You’ll Do
- Prepare, cook, assemble, and stock food according to Chick-fil-A standards
- Bread chicken by hand and operate grills, pressure fryers, and open fryers
- Follow recipes, portion sizes, cooking procedures, and quality standards
- Work with focus and urgency to keep food fresh and orders moving
- Use temperature gauges and complete required food-safety checks
- Communicate clearly with fellow Team Members and leaders
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, workstations, floors, and storage areas
- Sweep, mop, remove trash, wash dishes, and complete other cleaning tasks
- Unload deliveries and properly organize and store products
- Acknowledge and treat guests warmly whenever you interact with them
- Support other areas of the restaurant when the team needs help

- Work with urgency while maintaining food quality and safety

Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:
- Stand for periods of up to five hours
- Lift and carry up to 45 pounds
- Bend, reach, walk, and perform repetitive tasks
- Work safely around hot cooking equipment
- Perform basic math and measurement tasks
- Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
