As a
Kitchen Operator / Food Production Operator, you'll prepare and cook products according to established recipes and batch formulas while operating commercial food-processing equipment and maintaining strict food safety and sanitation standards.
Kitchen Operator Job Responsibilities- Accurately weigh and measure ingredients according to batch sheets and production formulas
- Prepare and cook food products according to established recipes and specifications
- Operate commercial kitchen and food-processing equipment including kettles, mixers, pumps, and related machinery
- Monitor cooking temperatures, processing times, and batch quality
- Inspect products before and after processing to ensure quality standards are met
- Clean, inspect, sanitize, assemble, and disassemble production equipment
- Follow and document batching formulas and complete required production paperwork
- Maintain accurate production and quality records
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP guidelines, food safety standards, and company safety procedures
- Work closely with production team members to coordinate daily manufacturing activities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe food production environment
What We're Looking For- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic
- Basic math skills and ability to accurately measure ingredients
- Ability to read and follow detailed recipes, batch sheets, and written instructions
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
- Previous food production, manufacturing, kitchen, batch processing, or machine operation experience is a plus
Physical Requirements- Ability to stand and walk for 8-10 hours
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Frequent lifting, bending, reaching, and moving materials
- Comfortable working in refrigerated, humid, or temperature-controlled environments
- Ability to safely operate and clean industrial food-processing equipment
Schedule- Primarily weekday day shifts
- Occasional weekends may be required
- Actual work hours may vary based on production needs
- Must be willing to work varying shifts when needed
