Washing dishes, equipment and utensils: Kitchen porters ensure that equipment and dishes are cleaned, sanitized and ready to prepare and serve food.
Sanitizing kitchen surfaces: They sanitize counters, stovetops and other places where food is prepared to meet health regulations.
Inventory support: Porters help kitchen managers manage inventory by organizing food storage and telling them when items need to be ordered.
Receiving deliveries: Porters receive and unpack all deliveries, ensuring all food and supplies are correctly placed. Must be able to lift 40lbs
General cleaning: They sweep and mop the floors, wipe out trash cans, sweep parking lot change garbage liners and clean and organize food storage.
Equipment maintenance: Porters ensure that ovens, refrigerators, mixers and other cooking equipment are in working order.
