The Massachusetts Veterans Homes are independent state agencies that organizationally report to the Secretary of the Executive Office of Veterans Services (EOVS). The Veterans Homes are owned and operated by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and address the needs of a wide variety of veterans, including long term care and domiciliary services meeting the veteran residents' care and psychosocial needs. The Massachusetts Veterans Home (MVH) at Chelsea is currently seeking four (4) motivated Kitchen Services Worker I to join our team!
The MVH at Chelsea is a long-term care and independent living domiciliary facility. The Kitchen Services Worker I works in the kitchen serving meals, preparing simple meals, dishes, and special diets according to instructions. In this role, you will also clean the kitchen, wash utensils and implements, and ensure the safe, sanitary, and timely functioning of the Dietary department.
We are seeking candidates able to work effectively on a team, through attention to detail and leading by example. To be successful in this role, you must be able to relate to a culturally diverse workforce and to adapt to workplace changes efficiently. You must also be able to multitask. The Kitchen Services Worker I must be committed to providing excellent customer service in a professional manner, ensuring the highest standards in food quality and safety for our veteran residents
